Heather Konschuh

Heather Konschuh - Bio

 


Internationally recognized, Canadian artist, Heather Konschuh is represented by a number of galleries across Canada and England.  Heather received her BFA in glass in 2005 from the Alberta College of Art and Design, Calgary and also studied at the Australian National Univeristy in Canberra.  After working as a full time glass artist in London, England from 2010-2013 Heather is now living and working in Vancouver.  She teaches a variety of hot glass and glass cold working classes at Terminal City Glass studio and is actively making her glass pieces for clients.  She was chosen by Prime Minister Stephen Harper's wife, Laureen, to design and create the G20 and G8 charger plates for the first ladies in Toronto. Heather's flowing forms and vibrantly coloured glass pieces explore the interplay of light through different translucency's of glass.  Her wide portfolio includes blown and sculptural forms, including hearts, birds, trees and various awards, reflective pendants, ornaments, bowls and vases.
